Quality Assurance
In a thriving market, whatever your market may be, you will face competition. What sets you apart from the rest is the quality of both your product and your customer service. At Stanford Manufacturing, we’ve achieved a high standard of quality across the board. Exceptional customer service is a top priority, and we’ve reached this through staff training and twenty-four-hour availability. When it comes to product quality, we provide products that assure conformance to our customers’ requirements, and we are committed to maintaining our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System to stay a step above our competitors.
We have a specific quality team that inspects, tests, and reports their findings. This information is readily available to our customers, so they know exactly how their product is performing. Our quality team has several tools available to them to ensure products leave our facility in perfect condition.
We adhere to a surface plate grade A quality policy. Class A surfaces meet the highest aesthetic standards in terms of visual effects, structural strength, durability and functionality. We perform a visual inspection of all our completed products to identify any defects and to ensure dimensions are accurate. Many products are large enough to identify defects just by using the naked eye, a microscope, or a gram scale. When we need a closer look, we rely on our Sprint MVP 300 Optical quality measuring device.
The Sprint MVP 300 Optical quality measuring device is essentially a giant microscope that excels at measuring small parts with fine features. Imagine all the components that come together to form a critical medical device, like a catheter. An injection molder will not see the device as a whole but as a compilation of many small parts, all of which are critical to the device’s function. With the Sprint MVP 300 Optical machine, we can take one of those tiny, but crucial, components, and inspect it on a large scale with high resolution.
Other factors that influence the quality of the product are facility maintenance and cleanliness. Our molds are routinely cleaned and inspected to prevent build-up of resins that can cause defects in products and to identify wear and tear of molds that could impact quality.
Keeping our molds, machines, and facility clean means that our quality assurance team, aka our “last line of defense,” should never deal with an overwhelming amount of defective or aesthetically incorrect products. We have made quality assurance a fundamental aspect of our day-to-day operations, and both ourselves and our customers are better because of it.
